Union Settlement has served the people in East Harlem since 1895. One of the largest settlement houses in New York, Union Settlement serves more than 10,000 East Harlem residents of all ages each year through its education, health, senior services, youth development, childcare, counseling, and economic development programs. Union Settlement Afterschool at MS96 caters to grades 6th to 8th. The program will meet in-person every Monday-Thursday from 2 pm - 5 pm. We offer activities that include; Leadership, Dance, Improv, Photography, Visual Arts, Health and Wellness, Graphic Design, Academic Assistance, high school prep, career development and much more. Our goal is to offer a fun, safe and exciting learning environment that also caters to each child's social and emotional development during their extended hours in the school building. Each activity has a strong and meaningful SEL (Social, Emotional Learning) component. We have caring and qualified staff who dedicate their time and talent to each student.
